History

The outward journey leads in a southerly direction for about 104 km from Mannheim to Pforzheim:

Bertha Benz Challenge

The Bertha Benz Memorial Route was opened in late 2008, the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry suggested, however, to organize the official inauguration trip as part of the Automobile Summer 2011, the official event commemorating the invention of the automobile by Carl Benz 125 years ago.
