Bertinoro

Bertinoro is a town with 10,843 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Italian region Emilia -Romagna and belongs to the province of Forlì- Cesena ( FC ).

Location

Bertinoro is between Forlì Cesena in the northwest and in the southeast at the edge of the Apennines. To its east Adriatic coast is 20 km ( straight line ) to Ravenna to Rimini in the north and in the southeast each about 35 km.

Borders the following municipalities: Cesena, Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Meldola and Ravenna ( RA).

Characteristics of a place

  • The Colonna degli Anelli (or " dell'Ospitalità ") is a column with rings ( Anelli ) from the 13th century. The legend says that each ring one of the major families in the area was mapped.
