Bertram Myron Gross

Bertram Myron Gross ( * 1912, † 1997) was an American social scientist and systems theorist. As an employee of the U.S. Senate in 1946, he was instrumental in the drafting of the Employment Act. The mid-1950s he taught on behalf of the U.S. Government Public Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and later worked as a professor of political science at Hunter College ( CUNY ).

Particularly well known he was with his 1980 published book Friendly Fascism, in which he sharply criticized the increasing entanglements between the political and economic elites.

He is the father of the Physics Nobel Laureate David Gross.
