Berwickshire

Berwickshire is one of the traditional counties of Scotland, located in the southeast of Scotland on the North Sea and the border with England. Original headquarters and the eponymous town was the city Berwick -upon- Tweed, but since 1482 thus no longer belongs to England and Berwickshire.

As an administrative county with the capital Duns Berwickshire was 1890-1975 and then went on in the region Borders. The Borders region was disbanded in 1996 and reformed in the Unitary Authority Scottish Borders. Berwickshire is still one of the Lieutenancy Areas of Scotland.
