Geography

Berwyn is located in the western suburbs of Chicago at 41 ° 50'33 " north latitude and 87 ° 47'24 " west longitude. The city covers an area of 10.1 km ². The City of Berwyn is congruent with the Berwyn Township.

History

In 1902, the towns of La Vergne, Swedetown, Berwyn and South Oak Park were merged and incorporated as the Village of Berwyn. In 1908, the municipality status was changed to " City" from the state of Illinois.
