Beshalach

Beschalach (Hebrew בשלח, " When he left pull " [to be completed: Pharaoh the people of Israel ] ) denotes a reading section ( or Parasha Sidra called ) comprises the Torah and the text Ex / Shemot 13.17 to 17.16.

It is the Sidra of the 2nd or 3rd Sabbath of the month of Shevat.

Gist

  • Parent exodus of the Israelites through the wilderness unto the Red sea, Joseph's bones are carried

The corresponding Haftorah is by Ashkenazic rite judge from 4.4 to 5.31, after sefardischem rite judge from 5.1 to 5.31.
