The Best of Scorpions Vol 2 is a compilation album by the German hard rock band Scorpions, released in 1984.
Genesis
RCA Records had the rights to the Scorpio ointments from 1974 to 1978. In the 1970ern/1980ern years may similar compilations like Hot & Heavy, and The Best of Scorpions appeared, partly in different versions. The Best of Scorpions Vol 2 is, as the name suggests, a sequel to The Best of Scorpions from the year 1979. Speedy 's Coming, All Night Long and We'll Burn the Sky songs from the album Tokyo Tapes were attached. Were taken into account also the album Fly to the Rainbow ( They Need a Million, This Is My Song ), In Trance ( Top of the bill, Longing for Fire, Sun in My Hand ), Virgin Killer ( Catch Your Train, Crying Days ).
The cover shows a drawing of a scorpion on a woman's hand, their fingernails are painted red, against black background. A CD release followed in 1990.
The album reached # 175 on the Billboard 200 in the publication
Reception
Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic.com wrote that there is on the album because of the selected period of time not much was familiar with the " the average Metalhead ", but it encompasses some of the highlights of the respective plates. He forgave four and a half stars out of five.
