Beth Nielsen Chapman

Beth Nielsen Chapman ( born September 14, 1956 in Harlingen, Texas ) is an American singer-songwriter and composer.

Curriculum vitae

Chapman grew up as the middle child of five siblings. Shortly after her marriage to Ernest Chapman in 1980 ( according to other sources the couple married in 1979 ) published Beth Nielsen Chapman released their first album; the following year, their son Ernest Jr. was born. In the following years she made more and more a name and has worked with many renowned artists, including with Bonnie Raitt and Paul Carrack (1993 ) and Neil Diamond ( 1996). Since the 1990s, she is regularly represented in the charts, primarily in the United States.

Her husband Ernest died in 1994 from cancer, then the album Sand and Water, which is strongly influenced by Chapman feelings from that time arose. The title song Sand and Water was sung in 1997 by Elton John at many concerts. Chapman himself fell ill in 2001 from breast cancer. Among the peculiarities of their musical performance includes the published in 2004 album Hymns, can be found on the sung almost exclusively in Latin hymns. It reached the top 30 in the U.S. Christian and the Independent Charts
