Bettina Herlitzius

Bettina Herlitzius ( born July 8, 1960 in Bad Salzuflen ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens )

Life and career

After graduation in 1979 Herlitzius graduated in architecture at the RWTH Aachen University, which she completed in 1987 as a graduate architect. Afterwards she worked as an independent architect until a clerkship in the State Building Authority began at the Ministry of Construction and Housing of North Rhine -Westphalia in 1993. After the second state examination in 1995 she took over the management of the Office for traffic control, housing, building and road in the district administration Aachen.

Bettina Herlitzius has a son and lives in a civil partnership.

Policy

Herlitzius joined the Green Party in 1983, which, however, in 1985 left again. Since 1998 she is again a member of the Green Party from 2001 to 2005 and was Speaker of the Board of Alliance 90/The Greens in the district of Aachen country. Herlitzius belongs since 1999 to the council of the district of Aachen, the Regional Assembly of the Rhineland Regional Council and the Regional Council of Cologne.

On 3 September 2007 she moved according to the German Bundestag on the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia for the retired deputies Reinhard Loske. On 27 September 2009 she managed the re- entry into the Bundestag deputies, to which she belonged to September 2013.
