Betting, Moselle

Betting ( up to 2005 Betting- lès -Saint -Avold, German: Bettingen ) is a commune with 864 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Forbach, to Canton Freyming -Merlebach and community association Freyming -Merlebach.

Geography

The community Betting is at the southeastern edge of the Warndt between the cities of Saint -Avold and Forbach, about four kilometers south of the border to the Saarland. History

Before the French Revolution Betting belonged to the area of ​​Trois- Évêchés.
