Betty Missiego

Betty Missiego (actually: Beatriz Teresa Missiego Campos, born January 16, 1938 in Lima, Peru) is a Spanish pop singer of Peruvian origin.

In her native country Peru Betty Missiego was a well-known television presenter. She decided in 1969 a singing career in Spain to start. In 1972, she received dual citizenship. In that year she represented Peru at the first OTI Festival in Madrid. She was selected to represent Spain at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1979 in Jerusalem. With the hit Su canción, supported by a four-member children's choir, she reached the second place.
