Beux

Beux is a commune with 274 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Metz- Campagne and Canton Pange.

Geography

The municipality is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast Beux of Metz at an altitude 223-315 m above sea level. The municipality covers 5.03 km ². This small village consists of Beux (formerly also Beux -Basse ) and the little hamlet northwest Beux -Haute.

History

The village was mentioned in 1277 as Bu. The two districts contributed from 1915 to 1918 and from 1940 to 1944, the Germanized name Niederbö and Oberbö, where Niederbö was the official name of the whole community.

Description. The coat of arms is divided into gold and white, front three blue oblique bar links and rear three right oblique red bar.
