Geography

Bevern is in the Weser mountain country between the highland and mountain ranges Castle Hill in the north and in the south Solling; are not far away to the north and Vogler Homburg Forest in the northeast. It is located about two kilometers east of the confluence of the current flowing through the village of Bever Bach into the Weser.

History

The town was first mentioned in the year 822/856 in charters of the monastery of Corvey.

Origin of the name
