Bevern is situated on the River Weser Uplands, embedded from the mountains Solling, Vogler and Ith.

History

Postal History

Even before 1790 Bevern had his Post Office. It is believed that she has been since 1743, with the establishment of the driving post from Braunschweig to wood Minden, furnished. Letters from this period have a handwritten note location.

Economy and infrastructure

Using citizen request was initiated in Bevern first time a workshop " Strategic Planning " with the aim of a development concept supported by citizens. Working basis for this is the proven strategy teaching " bottleneck Concentrated strategy ". Bevern is thus a pilot project for a systematic local development in the economic area Holzminden.
