Beyağaç is the capital of the district of the Turkish province of Denizli. Beyağaç is located about 94 km southwest of the provincial capital of Denizli. Had Beyağaç according to the last census 2,595 inhabitants ( as of December 2010). With the associated villages and small towns, the population is 7,181.

A notable landmark of the city is the Kartalsee - glacial (Turkish: Kartal Gölü buzul Vadisi ). It is located 40 km from the city center Beyağaç away. It has a length of 1.5 kilometers with an average width of 600 m. The glacier is currently (2008) at an altitude of about 2261 m at the same Kartalsee ( Turkish for Adlersee ). Around the lake there are 250 to 700 -year-old black pines. The glacial valley is a nature reserve since 1990.
