The B & F FK 12 Comet is an ultralight aircraft from the German manufacturer B & F Technik Vertriebs GmbH. The agile biplane constructed in composite construction.

Construction

The FK 12 carries the appearance of a classic biplane with spur wheel chassis. It can be converted from an open cockpit in a one-or two-seat closed cockpit in a few minutes. The frame of the hull made of steel and aluminum tubes is clad with GRP parts, the wings in composite design are covered in the back. The four ailerons extend above and below almost the entire width of the airfoil, thus allowing a high roll rate. These are constructed as flaperons, that serve as flaps. For space- saving storage, the wings can be very easily by a single person folding in parallel to the fuselage to the rear.

As fuel for the engines of the type Rotax 912 UL / ULS with 80 or 100 hp Mogas is recommended that the use of AvGas in continuous operation is not recommended for technical reasons. This entirely new engine fixed.
