BFW M.26

The Messerschmitt M26 was a passenger aircraft, the aircraft was designed by Messerschmitt and manufactured by the Bavarian Aircraft Works 1930.

History

The M26 was designed at the request of the U.S. Eastern Aircraft Corporation, who then wanted to acquire the manufacturing rights for it. However, could the economic crisis as a result of Black Friday 1929 not implemented the plans. Thus, only one copy was built in 1930.

The aircraft represented a smaller three-seat variant of the M18, which was also already stated in metal construction.
