Bhajan

A Bhajan ( Hindi, m., भजन, bhajan, from Sanskrit भज, bhaj, " worship ") is a religious folk song in Hinduism that a musical category forms regardless of the form in India.

In bhajans believers praise their love for God in simple words that are frequently repeated. Bhajans are part of the dedication that is called bhakti. The musical forms in which the songs of adoration and worship are carried forward, are very different.

The practice of bhajan singing is often maintained by a larger community, with or without a priest as a service. The origins of this in many Indian languages ​​- sung since time immemorial in Sanskrit, often in Hindi or other Indian languages ​​prayers are in the Sama Veda, and in popular piety.
