Bi-quinary coded decimal

Biquinärer decimal ( bi- quinary english decimal code) referred to in the computer science a numerical coding system that was like the Colossus and the UNIVAC used in many Abakussen and early computers. The term biquinär indicates that the encoding is based on a binary component and a five-component component.

Many different variations of this coding scheme was used during the early days of computer technology. Later codifications by BCD were standardized excess -3 code and other coding systems.
