BIAF

BIAF (English: Bulgarian International Air Festival; Bulgarian: БИАФ; Български Международен Авиационен Фестивал / Balgarski Meschdunaroden Awiazionen Festiwal / Bulgarian International Aviation Festival) is an international air show at the Krumowo Air Force Base, the military part of the airport Plovdiv. It takes place every two years, the most recent exhibition was from 2 to 4 September 2011.

The air show was organized by the Foundation "Bulgarian air forces " with the support of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense.

The motto of the show was in 2011: 100 years Bulgarian Aviation.

The show was divided into three sections:

  • Past: Albatros, Kaproni, Dar -1, Laz -7 and Ме - 109.
  • Present: Galeb, Swiss Air Force PC 7 Team, BGR AF today
  • Future: Saab Gripen JAS -39, Euro Fighter Typhoon and MiG- 29OVT

To this end, many neighboring and friendly countries were represented with your aircraft again.
