Biathlon World Championships 2011

The 44th Biathlon World Championships were held until 13 March 2011 at the Siberian Khanty-Mansiysk from 3.

Khanty-Mansiysk had prevailed with 27 votes to 20 against the Czech town of Nové Město na Moravě that had first applied for the discharge of Biathlon World Championships. Nove Mesto was instead awarded the contract to host the Junior Biathlon World Championships 2011. Belorussian Minsk withdrew her candidacy before the vote.
