Bicknell is a town in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Utah. It is located on State Route 24, the population was in 2000 ( according to the U.S. Census Bureau) 353 inhabitants.

History

Bicknell was formerly Thurber Town, named after AK Thurber, in 1875 built the first house here. 1897, the site was moved due to poor water conditions and the sandy soil.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a size of 1.2 km ². Bicknell is located between the Dixie National Forest and Fish Lake National Forest in Rabbit Valley 17 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Centre. Bicknell is 2172 m above sea level.
