Biedrzychowice, Opole Voivodeship

Friedersdorf (Polish: Biedrzychowice ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Friedersdorf is located in the municipality Oberglogau ( Głogówek ) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Friedersdorf is located six kilometers east of the parish seat Oberglogau, 26 kilometers east of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 37 kilometers south of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History

The town was first mentioned in a 1228 document of the monastery Czarnowąsy as " Bedrchouici ". The village was mentioned in the 1295 Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis documented as " Frederici villa". In a document from 1407 from the possession of the monastery Czarnowąsy in Latin the place is mentioned as Bedrzichovice and Friederssdorff. In a document Bolkos from March 27, 1430 in the possession of the monastery Czarnowąsy the place is mentioned with the notation Fredrichsdurff. In the 17th century a school is mentioned in the first place. In 1865 the town had 36 farmers, 37 gardeners and 35 smallholdings. At this time, the Catholic school had 125 students.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 749 voters voted to remain in Germany and 85 for Poland, in Gutsbezirk Friedersdorf 89 people voted for Germany and three in Poland. Friedersdorf remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 1420 inhabitants in the town. In 1939 the place 1447 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Biedrzychowice and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship and since 1999 he is part of the re-established powiat Prudnicki. On 22 April 2009 German was in the community Oberglogau, the Friedersdorf belongs introduced as a second official language. On 1 December 2009, the City also received the official German place names Friedersdorf.
