Bifascioides leucomelanella

Bifascioides leucomelanellus is a butterfly of the family of Chrysopeleiidae.

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 6-7 millimeters. The head is scaly, close and shiny dark brown. It has a silvery white forehead ( frons ). The sensors are 3/4 as long as the forewing. The labial palps are bent cylindrical and upward. Thorax and tegulae are dark brown, the posterior part of the thorax is yellowish white. The forewings are dark brown and lanceolate. You have two broad, yellowish-white napkins. The first binding is based nearby. She is on the wing inside edge wide and tapers abruptly at the Costa loader. The second binding is 2 /3 of the forewing length and tapers towards the wing inner edge. The fringe scales are ocher- gray. The hind wings are very narrow and only about 1/3 as wide as the front wings. They are silvery white with ocher- gray Frans shed. The abdomen is brownish gray and has a white tuft anus.

In the males, the Tegumen is narrow, ribbon-like and membranous. It is sclerotized laterally and tapers distally. The Valven are slightly asymmetrical and have a broad basal part. You branch distally into a large ventral lobe and a small dorsal. They are broad in basal half, tapering strongly in the distal half. They are equipped with long, powerful bristles. There is a basal extension which is busy with a spot short, thick bristles and two rows of long bristles on the right Valve. In the distal part is in front of the middle of the dorsal margin a small hairy lobe. The left Valve is provided with a similar lobe, but this is the last quarter of Basalhälfte. The aedeagus is bent long and rectangular. It tapers distally. Cornuti are not formed.

In females, the papillae are fused anal and strongly sclerotized. The apophyses are long, strong and have approximately the same length. The ostium is very large and sac- shaped, it is offset to the left at the front edge of the seventh sternite. The ductus bursae is very narrow in front of the ostium and widens greatly towards corpus bursae. The antrum is bent, it widens in the middle and is slightly sclerotized. The corpus bursae is roundish. The Signum is large, elongated and forks.

Similar Species

Bifascoides leucomelanellus similar Bifascia nigralbella, the rear end of the abdomen but is yellowish white, the inner band on the fore wings is closer to the wing base and the hind wings are narrower.

Dissemination

Bifascioides leucomelanellus is widespread in North Africa (Libya, Egypt ), Malta, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates and Iran.

Biology

The biology of the species is unknown. Moths were collected in February and from May to June.
