Big Ben is a stratovolcano on the uninhabited subantarctic island Heard, part of the Australian foreign territory Heard Island and McDonald. The highest point ( Mawson Peak) is located 2745 meters above sea level. With an area of approximately 360 km ² of the mountain covered almost the entire eastern part of the island.
Big Ben is one of the two active volcanoes of Australia and also the highest mountain on Australian territory. The volcano is completely covered by snow and ice, the crater about 70 meters deep.
