Rhineland- Palatinate Rundfunk GmbH & Co. KG for Rhineland -Palatinate bigFM in Baden -Wuerttemberg GmbH & Co. KG for Baden- Württemberg Skyline Media Saarland GmbH for the Saarland

BigFM is a network of currently three private, national radio stations: bigFM The New Beat of Baden- Württemberg, bigFM Hot Music Radio for Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland bigFM Essentials Latest Beat for the Saarland. The organizers are the bigFM in Baden -Wuerttemberg GmbH & Co. KG, based in Mannheim ( bigFM The New Beat ), the Rhineland- Palatinate Rundfunk GmbH & Co. KG, based in Ludwigshafen ( bigFM Hot Music Radio ) and the Skyline Media Saarland GmbH based in Saarbrücken ( Saarland bigFM Essentials Latest Beat ). Due to the three legally independent organizer of bigFM programs the partners and ownership structures are very complex. It broadcasts a Contemporary Hit Radio format ( CHR). On behalf of the organizers, the three bigFM program mbH corresponding program parts produced with headquarters in Mannheim individually for the bigFM programs.

History

First broadcast was in Baden- Württemberg on April 1, 2000. At frequencies sunshine was broadcast live since November 20, 1999 already.

In Rhineland -Palatinate is a collaboration with Radio RPR, here bigFM took over in August 2003, the frequencies of the former pop radio RPR Two. In Saarland bigFM sent on the frequencies on which previously JAM FM Saarland was disseminated since 5 September 2005.

The studios of bigFM located in Koblenz, Cologne, Ludwigshafen, Mainz, Saarbrücken, Stuttgart and Trier. bigFM in Saarland is operated by Skyline Media Saarland GmbH.

The moderators are Oliver Pocher, Susanne " Susanka " Bersin, Trooper Da Don, Frank, " Till " Simoleit, Dani meadow, Rolf Vogl, " Double Desi " Sabine Blank, Daniel Kaiser, Jenny Kreuzinger, " the Storb " and Julia Porath. In addition, moderate Father Ernst Kusterer, Marc Weyrich and pastor Heiko Bräuning the bigFM night talk and preaching format bigPray.

The end of 2010 announced the LMK that competed except bigFM the NRJ Group Energy Rhineland-Palatinate and Regiocast with FM Now to the expiring bigFM - broadcasting license. In March 2011, the LMK came to the decision that the licenses be extended with bigFM. The transmitter undertook this to produce more programs in the Rhineland-Palatinate Studios.

On December 17, 2012 it was announced that Oliver Pocher will temporarily host the morning show from 2 January 2013. Due to its television activities but it will not be live in the studio. Pochers activity is only a temporary solution and should be initially limited to three months. Until then, the station hopes to have a new morning presenter for Hans Blomberg, who was previously changed to 104.6 RTL found. Despite a new moderator Pocher still be heard in the Morning Show.

Several times a year big Party series take place in large cities and metropolitan areas, such as the bigFM City Clubbing or bigFM Party Night. Since the parties held simultaneously in several discos and bars, you get a ticket access to all participating venues. The moderators and bigFM DJs are distributed to the various discos.

Since May 4, 2012 bigFM sends an additional program called bigFM world beats from the DAB standard in Baden- Württemberg and Rhineland- Palatinate. Previously, this program, which mainly emits music from the Balkans and Russia, distributed only via web stream.

BigFM is in southwest Germany mostly from the Rhineland to Lake Constance receivable - in Baden- Württemberg, Rhineland -Palatinate, Saarland, in the south of North Rhine -Westphalia and in the south west of Hesse.

Special

BigFM produced every Sunday evening broadcast music without limits with the Luxembourg station Eldoradio for the large region of Southwest Germany - Luxembourg.

In addition bigFM is a partner of the produced by Stefan Raab Federal Vision Song Contest while giving it the points for Baden- Württemberg, Rhineland -Palatinate, North Rhine -Westphalia and Saarland.
