Bilisht ( Albanian: Bilishti; Greek Víglista Βίγλιστα; macedonian Bilišta Билишта ) is a town in southeastern Albania. It is the capital of the circle Devoll, which belongs to Qark Korçë. The city of Korca is 27 km away.
Name
Bilisht possibly comes from the Bulgarian and means " place where ( Un) herb grows ".
Geography
Bilisht is located at 930 m above sea level. A. east of the Morava Mountain on a plateau, which is drained by the upper reaches of the Devoll. History
Bilisht was mentioned in writing in 1505 for the first time.
