Bill Biggart

Bill Biggart (* 1947 in Berlin, † 11 September 2001 in New York ) was an American photojournalist and victims of the attacks of September 11, 2001, he was posthumously known for his recordings of the collapsing south tower of the World Trade Center in New York.. He was the only journalist among the victims. Four days after his death, his remains were recovered and a bag with his camera and the compact flash memory card, from which the famous photos were restored. After these had been discovered, they were released on 15 October 2001 in Newsweek and can be viewed on the Internet.
