Bill Cheesbourg

Bill Cheesbourg ( born June 12, 1927 in Tucson, † November 6, 1995 ) was an American race car driver.

Cheesbourg began his career at the Midget cars after the Second World War. Cheesbourg drove in the USAC series from 1956 to 1962 as well as 1964, 1965 and 1966. 31 times he was at the start, including six times in the 500 miles of Indianapolis. A victory could not achieve Cheesbourg.

Cheesbourg, who was very popular with his colleagues by his willingness to help, returned to his time back at the major U.S. single-seater cars on the short tracks and won at the end of his career, some local stock car races.

Since the 500 miles of Indianapolis belonged from 1950 to 1960 the world championship of Formula 1, Cheesbourg also participated in three World Cup races. Points he could not reach.
