Bill Wallace (martial artist)

Bill " Super Foot " Wallace ( born December 1, 1945 in Portland, Indiana) is an American martial artist. Because of its circular kicks he got the nickname " Super Foot ". He wears 10th dan Shorin- Ryu, was from 1974 to 1980 seven-time world champion of the Professional Karate Association (PKA ) and is now Honorary President of the FFBA. History

Bill Wallace began during his high school years with the judo and wrestling training. Due to a ligament injury to his right knee during Judo training he had to quit judo. While serving in the U.S. Air Force in 1967, he began under Michael Gneck with the Shorin- Ryu Karate training. He was very successful and soon moved on to full-contact karate. Due to his old knee injury he tried to relieve the left knee and focused fully on his right leg as a base. With this specialization, he made his weakness a strength. Finally he succeeded with "Fast Leg Kicks " and especially his roundhouse kick an incredible ( measured ) speed of 60mph (96 km / h) to achieve. He was a seven-time champion Middlewight of PKA. When karate training, he trained almost 90 % of the time with his legs. Only in this way he managed to achieve this success and defeat much larger and heavier opponents with his kicks and kicks.
