Bill Wilson (Scottish politician)

William Laurence Wilson, mostly Bill Wilson, ( born December 11, 1963 in Paisley ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Scottish National Party ( SNP).

Life

Wilson attended Shawlands Academy and then studied at the Universities of Glasgow and Aberdeen, and at Queen 's University in Belfast. He subsequently spent ten years working as a scientist in the field of ecology at the Zoological Institute of the University of Glasgow. After he then spent a year in South America joined Wilson in the field of information technology.

Political career

After Wilson was first a member of the Labour Party, he joined in the late 1980s to the SNP. In the British general election, 1997 Wilson first came to elections at the national level. He stood as a candidate in the constituency of Glasgow Anniesland and defeated the Labour candidate and later Earnest Minister, Donald Dewar, clearly.
