Billericay

Billericay is a town in the district located in Essex Basildon in England with about 33,000 inhabitants.

According to tradition, a meeting of the Pilgrim Fathers in Billericay took place before these translated on the Mayflower to America. In many areas of public life that fact is acknowledged by naming. There is the Mayflower House, Mayflower Taxis and Mayflower Hall.

The town was immortalized in the song " Billericay Dickie " of the band Ian Dury and the Blockheads.

Policy

Member of Parliament of Billericay is John Barron of the Conservative Party. Before Theresa Gorman was the representative of the city, a conservative rebel who the Maastricht Treaty resist. In his history of Billericay has always been a stronghold of the conservatives. Neither the Labour Party nor the Liberals gained noteworthy successes.
