Billy Garrett

William " Billy" Garrett ( born April 24, 1933, Princeton, † February 15, 1999 in Glendale ) was an American race car driver.

William Garrett started in his career twice in the 500 miles of Indianapolis, which were evaluated from 1950 to 1960 as a World Cup race of the Formula 1. In his first start in 1956, he reached on a Kuzma - Offenhauser with a gap of 6 rounds on the winner Pat Flaherty Rank 16 Two years later, again in Indianapolis, he drove a Kurtis Kraft 500G - Offenhauser. Garrett difference this time out prematurely. With a damage to the camshaft he stopped in round 80
