Billy Lansdowne

William " Billy" Lansdowne Jr. ( born April 28, 1959 in Epping, Essex ) is a former English footballer.

Career

Lansdowne began his career at West Ham United, where already played his father Bill Landsdowne football. Although he succeeded in October 1979 in the League Cup against Southend United a hat-trick, but ultimately he could not prevail at the club itself. He then moved on to Charlton Athletic. In early 1983, he went to the Third Division for FC Gillingham, after his contract was dissolved at Charlton.

Just a few months later Lansdowne moved to Kalmar FF in the second-class second division in his first season he scored 16 goals this season and thus he helped scorer for his club season victory and after the subsequent success against Djurgårdens IF to a rebirth in the Allsvenskan. In the first division he formed with Peter Karlsson, who was signed by Åtvidabergs FF, the strike partnership of the Association. In the first year were the two as the entire team - it reach 17 goals in 22 games - rather harmless, 1985, the two with ten goals along with Sören Börjesson Örgryte IS scorer in Allsvenskan. In the season breaks the Swedish League Lansdowne returned several times to England and played for the amateur club FC Dagenham, peak of his stays there was the arrival in the third round of the FA Cup in 1984/85.

After the end of his career Lansdowne worked as a television commentator for Swedish television. For TV 4 he commented, for example, along with Peppe Eng Premier League matches on the show Tipslördag or the World Cup 1998. Moreover, he was football expert at Viasat and commented Greyhound racing for TV3.
