Billy Long

William H. "Billy" Long II ( born August 11, 1955 in Springfield, Missouri ) is an American politician ( Republican). Since 2011 he represents the state of Missouri in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Billy Long studied in the years 1973 and 1974 at the University of Missouri in Columbia and then continued his education until 1979 at the Missouri Auction School continued. In the following years he worked between 1999 to 2006 times as a radio presenter. He also acquired the company Billy Long Auctions LLC, which he still owns today.

In the congressional elections of 2010 he was in the seventh constituency of Missouri with 63 percent of the vote to Democrat Scott Eckersley in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected. There he came into effect on January 3, 2011 in the footsteps of Roy Blunt, who had been elected to the U.S. Senate. In Congress, Long is a member of the Committee on Homeland Security and the Transportation Committee and in five sub-committees.
