Billy Mitchell (video game player)

Billy L. Mitchell (* July 16, 1965 in Holyoke, Massachusetts) is best known for the preparation of the records in arcade games. He is referred to as the largest arcade video games player of all time.

Life and career

A historical record achieved Billy Mitchell on July 3, 1999 Pac -Man. He completed 255 level with maximum score, without ever eaten. He gathered up all the bonuses and ate every blue ghost. The maximum score is 3,333,360 points and is referred to as "perfect game". Mitchell has in Hollywood retail chain Rickey 's World Famous Restaurant and used the same brand for sale numerous hot sauces.

In the documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, which is about a record attempt in the game Donkey Kong, he appears alongside Steve J. Wiebe and other well-known American video game icons.

Awards

  • Choice for Video Game Player of the Year by Twin Galaxies and the U.S. National Video Game Team on 14 January 1984.
  • Appointment as Video Game Player of the Century on 17 September 1999 during the Tokyo Game Show. From Namco founder Masaya Nakamura, he was awarded with a prize for the first perfect " Pac -Man " game.
  • MTV Billy Mitchell voted one of the ten best influential video player of all time on 21 June 2006.
