Billy Stewart

Billy Stewart ( born March 24, 1937 in Washington, DC; † January 17, 1970 in North Carolina ) was an American singer and keyboardist. He was a member of the band Rainbows. He also played in the band of Bo Diddley and concerned that a contract with Chess Records. Here he published in 1956 his first solo single, Billy 's Blues. On January 17, 1970, he died along with three members of the band on the way to a gig when his car broke through a bridge railing and plunged into a river.
