Summit rocks on the Bilstein

The Bilstein is 666 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Vogelsberg east-southeast of Busenborn, a district of Scots. The basalt rock on the summit of the otherwise densely forested mountain are a good vantage point.

View

From the top one can see on a clear day in the southwest of the Odenwald. In the west south west, the skyline of Frankfurt am Main is visible directly behind Thunder Mountain in the Pfalz. To the west of the Taunus dominated by the Great Feldberg. In the north- west the view extends to the Westerwald, the Dünsberg in casting and to Rothaargebirge in the extreme north-northwest. Access

From the parking lot at the airfield on the L 3338 between Breungeshain and Sichenhausen or Scots and Grebenhain you reach the Bilstein in 15 to 20 minutes, by following the marked with a bar way to SW and after about 400 m at the sign " Bilstein " on turning a steep, less good way.
