Bimberi Peak

The Bimberi Peak, also known as Mount Bimberi is, with 1912 m the highest mountain in the Australian Capital Territory. The nearest locations are in Adaminaby about 37 km, 45 km and Talbingo Queanbeyan in 52 km distance.

The mountain is located at the southern end of the Snowy Mountains on the border between New South Wales in the Kosciuszko National Park and the Australian Capital Territory in the Namadgi National Park.

The fortified Boboyan Road leads after 19 km to the Bimberi Peak, the last 2 km are unpaved. Accessible to the Bimberi Peak is also on trails. The Climb requires mountaineering skills. There's no marked trail to the mountain top.

The mountain peak is above the tree line. There are strong winds and winter, the mountain is covered with snow.
