Bimbo is the capital of the prefecture Ombella - Mpoko in the Central African Republic.
Location
The city lies 338 meters above sea level, in the same sub-prefecture Bimbo, which belongs to the prefecture Ombella - Mpoko and around 10 kilometers southwest of the capital, Bangui, near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Bimbo has 146 550 inhabitants (calculated 2007).

History
The city broke in 1964 as the capital of Bangui from Ombella - Mpoko. Bimbo entered this status but already on May 12, 1967 at Boali turn off. Only since 1982, the administrative headquarters of Ombella - Mpoko is back in Bimbo.
