Binalbagan, Negros Occidental

Binalbagan is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Negros Occidental on the island of Negros in the Philippines. It has 65,431 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 16 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized. It is located about 62 kilometers south of Bacolod City. The travel time is about 90 minutes by bus, by car about 1 hour. Your neighboring municipalities are Hinigaran in the north, Isabella in the northwest, La Libertad in Negros Oriental in the east, in the southeast Jimalalud, Himamaylan City in the south. In the west, the town bordering the Gulf of Panay. The topography of the municipality is described in the West as lowland, and in the east of the town dates back to the island of Negros Mountains, where the volcano is located Mandalagan.
