Binder & Krieglstein

Rainer Binder - Krieglstein (born 1966 ) is an Austrian, originally from Graz musician who appears under the name Binder & Krieglstein in appearance, what should suggest that there is a duo. His musical oeuvre is influenced by jazz, funk, soul and pop and is stylistically mostly a mix of dub, electronic and folk shows, which are reproduced in electronic downtempo beats and rhythms.

His albums therefore always include very different pieces of music, some of which also have vocals, is what worked with various singers. For the musical form itself, which mostly takes place on the computer, sometimes collaborated with other producers and DJs, which accordingly affect and enrich the musical result of an album. In concert performances, he plays the drums with the singer Makki (Daniela Riedl ), violinist Kurt Bauer and Michael Bergbaur on trombone and tuba.

Biography

Before Rainer Binder - Krieglstein launched his solo career, he was the drummer for the Viennese downtempo pop band Toxic Lounge, the industrial rock band Fetish 69, the melodic -noise combo Sans Secours and at various jazz bands. In 2002 he began the publication of his first album, International, his solo career. It was just like the trip appeared in 2004 follow-up album to pointers Records, a record label for young Graz alternative electronic music releases. Trip includes one of the most famous tracks of this album, all lost, even equal to the eponymous piece for the next album.

His album Everything was lost first produced not by himself but by the German musician and producer Shantel and his Essay Recordings, whereby the result is straighter and has less lo-fi aesthetics. It includes, among other things, of Makki and Uwe Bubik sung, lyrically Dadaist -inspired track Spit, the track is lost Everything ( the distinctive voice comes from Rainer by many ), and the Polman Travel Cover Pirates ( according to the original would-be pirates), which of the singer Gustav is sung.
