Binding Corporate Rules

Binding Corporate Rules, often abbreviated BCR, binding corporate -wide policies that have been developed by the Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, to enable multinational corporations, international organizations and corporate groups, internal personal data across national borders and the EU boundary are transfer, by conforming to the applicable European data protection law.

The creation of BCR is usually costly, tedious and costly because the supervisory authorities of all countries to which personal data are to be transmitted, are involved in the drafting of Binding Corporate Rules and the BCR must cover the legal position of those countries legally.
