Binhai

The "New Town District " Binhai (Chinese滨海 新区, Pinyin Binhai Xin Qū ) is a municipality of the centrally-administered city of Tianjin in northern China. Binhai was founded on 1 January 2010 and formed from the surfaces of the dissolved former town districts of Hangu, Tanggu and Dagang. Binhai has an area of ​​1.978 km ² and about 1.08 million inhabitants ( end of 2009). Headquarters of the People's Government of Binhai Road is the district Xingang (新港 街道).
