Bioelectromagnetics

The interactions of bio-magnetism and bioelectricity describe the electromagnetic phenomena that occur due to action currents in cells of living organisms.

With the electroencephalogram (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG ) is one of the analysis of these signals to the important methods in medical diagnosis. The corresponding magnetic measurements hot magnetoencephalogram (MEG ) and magnetocardiogram ( MKG ).

The beginnings of this research field are in the 18th century in the experiments Luigi Galvani's animal electricity to ( galvanism ) and follow-up of medical professionals like Christoph Heinrich Pfaff.
