The Biokovo is a section of the Dinaric coastal mountain range in southern Croatia. It lies between Omis and the mouth of the Neretva in the region of Central Dalmatia.

The bulk of the massif is a marine nature park Biokovo under state protection.

After a narrow coastal strip on the Adriatic, the limestone mountains rising steeply and vegetationsarm up to heights of over 1700 meters. The faces away from the Adriatic Sea side has sparse vegetation with scattered forest islands.

The highest peak is Sveti Jure, the 1762 meters. The Biokovo is extremely low in water, only in areas where the limestone massif encounters Flyschzonen, come from sources that enable a barren grazing. The coastal strip is developed for tourism, the center is the tourist resort Makarska Makarska Riviera mentioned on the Adriatic coast. The Biokovo Mountain is recognized as Croatian Nature Park.
