Biolith
As Biolithe (Greek bios, life and lithos, rock) sedimentary rocks are referred to the most part, consist of remains of animals or plants Zoolithe phytoliths. Divided they are petrographic after palaeobotanist and petroleum geologists Robert Potonie (1889 - 1974) called into combustible Biolithe, Kaustobiolithe and non-combustible, as Akaustobiolithe designated rock.
The Kaustobiolithen include, for example carbon plutonic rock, sludge rock, such as copper shale and resins. Akaustobiolithe include radiolarite ( chert ) and shell and coral.
