Biological Chemistry (journal)

Biological Chemistry, abbreviated Biol Chem, is a scientific journal that is published by de Gruyter -Verlag. The magazine was founded in 1877 by Felix Hoppe- Seyler under the name of "Journal of Physiological Chemistry ". After the death of Hoppe Seyler 's name has been changed to " Hoppe- Seyler 's Zeitschrift für physiological chemistry " in 1896, the change had to 1985 inventory. From 1985 to 1996 the name " Biological Chemistry Hoppe- Seyler " was used. Since 1996, the journal is published under the present name, it currently appears monthly. There are published articles from all areas of biochemistry. The journal is associated the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, members receive free access to the online version of the journal.
