BIOS Parameter Block

The BIOS Parameter Block ( BPB ) describes the physical structure of a hard drive and some file system- related structures on the disk. It is part of the boot sector. BPB is thus a data structure that is stored in the initial region of a data carrier.

File systems that are to use the BIOS parameter block for example FAT16, FAT32, HPFS and NTFS.
