Biritiba -Mirim is a Brazilian city in the state of São Paulo in the metropolitan region of São Paulo city. In 2006 lived in Biritiba -Mirim 29 694 people to 317 km2.
City Name
The city's name comes from the Tupi- Guaraní, Biri, the name of a common flower in the area, and Mirim " small". Thus Biritiba -Mirim means " Small place where many Biris grow ".
